FAQs about investing with Luminate
How are returns paid — and how secure are they?
Returns are fixed by the terms of the loan offer to a borrower, typically paid monthly or quarterly. Every loan to a borrower is secured by a registered mortgage, most commonly first-raking, and further protected by personal guarantees or general security deeds. We don’t release investor funds to our borrowers until all securities are in place.
How does Luminate select which loans to fund?
We vet every borrower, asset, and exit strategy internally. Our credit committee only approves loans that meet strict structural, legal, and repayment criteria. We prioritise risk management over volume — every deal is built to perform.
What’s required to invest?
You’ll need to qualify under certain categories of wholesale investor under the Financial Markets Conduct Act typically by meeting criteria relating to wealth or the size of your investment.
